The IPMA Award Management Board (IAMBo) focuses on advancing countries/regions to be positive IPMA contributors and contenders in the IPMA International Project Excellence Award contests at national, regional and international levels. This board fosters a distinctive performance, competition and learning as this attracts, retains and adds value to our stakeholders.

The mission of the IAMBo is to facilitate IPMA Family members as instrumental partners in the development and promotion of project management towards Project Excellence with regard to individuals, teams, organisations in the respective direct and indirect environments.

Results-driven senior project manager with experience in project management for more than 10 years and in process management for more than 5 years, with proven success in driving complex international strategic projects, maximising business opportunities, ensuring timely delivery of high quality output and global implementations. Change agent with ability to lead reengineering activities that fulfilled strategic objectives. Proven experience in resolving critical situations and bringing failing projects back on track.Certified IPMA senior project manager and IPMA assessor Level B. Chairman of the IPMA Award Management Board and Chairman of the IPMA Award Jury.

Ewa Bednarczyk (Poland)
Please contact the Award Office with any questions regarding the IPMA Project Excellence Award. 
Ewa Bednarczyk has run the Award Office since 2007. She is responsible for the coordination of the assessment process, including organization of the assessors training, assessors’ team composition, preparation of the Jury and final reports. She is the first contact person for the current and potential applicants and those who are interested in the Project Excellence Model. Additionally, she supports the establishment of the national Project Excellence Awards. In year 2010-2012 she served as SPMP (IPMA-Poland) Vice President responsible for the Polish Project Excellence Award.Ewa graduated from the Cracow University of Economic and Avans Hogeschool in Breda. She is an IPMA Level-D certificate holder.

Michael Boxheimer (Germany)
Michael Boxheimer started his engagement with the PE Award in Germany in 2002. He is experienced in different roles: Assessor, Team Leader, Trainer, Applicant and Member of the Organisation Committee for the German Project Excellence Award. Since 2008 he is also an active member of the international PE community, eg, as IPMA´s PE Ambassador for Germany.His professional background: he worked for different international project driven companies, responsibilities ranging from project management to business results. Today he is designing and implementing Project- and Process- Management Systems to improve business results with customers in IT and engineering industry.
Erik Mansson (Germany)
Erik Månsson has 20 years of experience of projects in different context including the launch of the Euro and programme manager for the Single Euro Payments Area. He is a member of the Swedish and German project management associations. In 2009 he received the Otto Zieglmeier Award for his promotion of project excellence world-wide including active yearly participation in project assessment since the first Award 2002, trainer for PE at numerous occasions in Europe and China and member of the Award Management Board since 2007. Since 2009 he has been in the jury for the German PE Award.
Pau Lian Staal-Ong (The Netherlands) Pau Lian is senior consultant at AT Osborne B.V., an independent management and consultancy firm in the Netherlands. Since 1999 she has been working for principals in the areas of large infrastructure projects as well as for principals in mostly the public environment. Pau Lian helps organisations during change processes, fulfils positions in the field of quality management, carries out audits and (project) evaluations and delivers lectures and training. In addition, her work week centres on the NETLIPSE programme (www.netlipse.eu) that focuses on gathering best practices and lesson learnt on the management and organisation of large infrastructure projects in Europe. Pau Lian is Programme Manager and Coordinator of the Stakeholder Participation & Communications interest group. Since 2007 Pau Lian has been involved as (lead) assessor of the IPMA Project Excellence Awards. In 2011 she helped initiate the Project Excellence Awards scheme in the Netherlands and acts as one of the Assessor trainers.

Gholamreza Safakish, MSc, PMP
Gholamreza was a professional project manager who participated as project and project engineering manager in several international upstream oil field development and petrochemical projects. He has also experiences as a consultant with EPC contractors in Oil & Gas, Power and Steel plants. He delivers seminars, lectures and training courses covering a wide range of project management topics especially Communication and HR Management. As a freelance consultant, he also assists the project driven firms to adapt and improve their current methodologies. He joined IPMA since 2006 and was a Member of Tehran’s BOD and General Secretary since 2009. He is the president of national award program since 2010.
Grzegorz Szałajko (Poland)
Grzegorz Szalajko, CISA, PMP – His involvement in the Award process started in 2005 when he became an Award Assessor. 3 years later he became a Team Lead Assessor. In these roles he has assessed various large and mega projects in Asia, US and Europe. As a co-author of the current assessors training program Grzegorz is also an official PE assessor’s trainer. He has also contributed to the development of national Project Excellence Awards in Poland and Nepal.As a project management consultant and trainer at Energy Group he brings international experience and passion for projects to several large organizations in Poland. His main expertise includes project governance, compliance, agile methods and project rescue.
